"Then Jesus asked him, ‘What is your name?’ He replied, ‘My name is Legion; for we are many.’" Mark 5:9
Addiction is a debilitating disease that does not discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, or socioeconomic status. The Addiction Recovery Advocates Networks (ARAN) engage all who are shackled by inordinate attachments and fixations associated with substance use disorders (SUD) and addictions[1].
ARAN acts as a conduit to recovery resources for clergy and laity facing the mounting consequences of escalating attachments. We align with diocesan ministries serving vulnerable communities and confronting social injustices that are inflamed by addictions and their consequences.
Ministry Activities:
Animate Christ’s healing grace in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Pennsylvania:
[1] Disruptive process addictions: work, technology, gambling, sex, food, exercise, spending, etc.
