Vitality Improvement Program for Small Churches

As previously announced, the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania was one of only five dioceses to be accepted into the Vitality Improvement Program for Small Congregations.  The program will provide resources, coaching and support for 7-10 of our smaller churches over the next three years.  The application process is now open. 

To be eligible a church must have an ASA of 70 or less. 

In addition, a church must be able to commit to the following:

  1. Full participation for the duration of the grant process including regular meetings and reporting.
  2. Identify 5-8 volunteers who will serve as the church’s team.  The expected time commitment is 4-6 hours per month. One will serve as the leader.  Expected time commitment 5-8 hours per month.
  3.  Contribute $750 per year.  This is a fraction of the value of the services that will be made available.

Completed applications will be reviewed by our diocesan team. Please understand that we cannot guarantee that every interested church will be able to participate.
