My siblings in Christ,
I just returned from the place where our faith began, the place where Christ was born, crucified and raised from the dead. It is the Holy Land.
To stand where Jesus stood, to walk where he walked … it awakens the soul and spirit, and our faith.
But what is just as striking is to be surrounded by people from all over our world, hearing a multitude of different languages, different dress and customs and yet to know that we are all united by the same faith and the same purpose - to celebrate our Lord’s resurrection in the place where it happened.
Now more than ever, our world needs to know the power of Jesus Christ and the hope that he alone can bring. This Easter may his resurrection transform our hearts that we in turn may proclaim him and change the world in his most holy name.
