Dear Siblings in Christ,

Deacons bring the Gospel out into the world. They are a vital part of our faith.  In 2018, I appointed two archdeacons, the Ven. Dennis Coleman and the Ven. Jeff Moretzsohn, to be part of our effort to recruit more deacons and build diaconal ministry.

I am pleased to announce that both have agreed to continue in this sacred ministry.  Their ministry is an important part of our diocesan life. They will now have permanent office space at our diocesan center in Norristown.

Archdeacon Jeff Moretzsohn will be the dean of our diaconal formation program, and has already begun work deepening the process and expanding the cohort of formation facilitators.

Archdeacon Dennis will serve in a pastoral, spiritual capacity along with serving as my chaplain. As Chaplain, he will be present with me at services, and promoting the ministry of deacons.
