Safeguarding Your Space

How do churches welcome everyone yet at the same time safeguard their worshippers, volunteers and staff?  Detective Joseph Rovnan of the Philadelphia Police Department will offer some practical advice to help make your church more secure. 

Detective Rovnan is a 33-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. He is nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in Active Shooter strategies, programs and response and currently serves in the PPD’s Homeland Security/ Counter Terrorism Operations Bureau.   For everyone’s safety, registration will be limited to 100 people.   Masking is recommended but not required. 

The African Episcopal Church of St Thomas is located at 6361 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia.  Street parking is available. Beverages will be provided.
