Experiencing Homelessness: Collaborative and Understanding Approaches

A crucial element to a sustainable and empowering ministry is to understand those we serve and acknowledge them as experts of their own experience.. 

This seminar will help you and your parish:

• Understand the causes of homelessness and the continuation of homelessness 

• Adapt the best language and safe environment when providing ministry to those who are homeless

• understand how approach and having an awareness of "person in" environment has a positive affect in creating a trust relationship

• How to be proactive and the best methods to empower those who are homeless. 

This seminar will be led by a social worker as well as indivduals who are/have experienced homelessness.
