These five-part series -- one for teens, and one for adults -- will use film, theater, personal reflection and discussion to build communities of care for teens as they negotiate gender and sexual identity in a challenging world.

Fee: $10 for the series, payable at the first session.

Candid Conversations for Teens (Ages 14-18)
Participants will explore questions and insights around gender and sexual identity and discuss how adults and faith communities can support them.
Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7:30
( Nov. 10 will be a combined session from 2 -3:30)
Candid Conversations for Adults (Ages 19 and older)
Participants will explore how to support youths and teens and understand the issues they face around gender and sexual identity, and how to create spaces of dignity and support.
Sunday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Designed and facilitated by Jennifer O'Rourke, an educator for 30 years and co-founder of Rooted Tree Productions, a children's non-profit theater company located at St. Peter's. A high school teacher, Jennifer, who has taught extensively on gender identity, will facilitate both sessions.
Faith-Based Facilitators
The Rev. Barbara Ballenger, rector of St. Peter's and the Rev. Kristin Waskowicz Woods, an Episcopal deacon, will serve as chaplains.
