Bread for the Journey: Journeying in God's Time (Part 2)

 In Part One of “Journeying with God” Canon Ivey led us through the major currents of history in our nation and our diocese as we considered how the past has shaped who we are today. In Part Two, she will guide us into discerning how the impact of history on our churches has created our current identities.  Please bring your church’s founding date/year to this gathering. Beyond simple events that happened “once upon a time,” history can be seen as a continual dynamic of relationships, power, and ideologies. Seeing the past more clearly, how is our present time a “Kairos” moment – a “crucial time” for the fulfillment of God’s purpose? As Christians, how do we hold these times as God’s time?
