30th Anniversary Celebration and Holiday Tea (12/3/23)

Sunday, December 3 – 30th Anniversary Service and Holiday Tea. The Church of the Holy Spirit of Harleysville will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of its founding at a 10:15 a.m. Service of Blessings and Thanksgiving on Sunday, December 3. The Rev. Anne Ritchings, the founding vicar, will preside at the Eucharist service. Celebratory music will be provided by the Holy Spirit choirs and bell choirs, led by Sue Ellen Echard, Music Director. It will be an opportunity to join in offering thanks for the church, which continues to serve the congregation and the larger community.

The service will be followed by a Holiday Tea with music by Hobie and Friends, tea sandwiches, cookies and raffle baskets, held in the recently built fellowship hall addition.

The church was founded in 1993 as the Salford Mission led by Rev. Ritchings in a store front in Harleysville and a new sanctuary was built nine years later on the 27 acre property at its current location at 2871 Barndt Road, at the corner of Sumneytown Pike in Upper Salford. Under the leadership of the recently retired rector, the Rev. Kathryn Andonian, the new fellowship hall was dedicated this past Spring.
