The diocese is excited to partner with the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) to host Project Power, a no-cost program for adults 18+ that raises awareness and offers diabetes risk reduction education to people with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes or who are at risk for type 2 diabetes. We have been incorporating diabetes prevention into our summer camps for youth through health education and fun activities like cooking classes. Now we are pleased to offer a program for adults.

Through weekly interactive lessons, small support groups with others going through similar challenges, goal setting, and personalized health coaching, Project Power provides critical resources and tools to empower you to make essential lifestyle changes. Our goal for at least 35 people to register. Churches/deaneries can do this together and support each other.

Specifics:

  • Eight sessions led by trained medical professional coaches
  • Participant activity kit with instructive activities and supplies
  • Program delivered in person or remotely
  • Program-related items (i.e., program booklet, Bluetooth scale, activity tracker, etc.)

No cost to participants, but registration is required. Registration is from May 13th through June 3rd. Register Here: https://diabetes.org/project-power  MAKE SURE YOU USE REFERRAL CODE C-2015.
